Kenilworth Trip Sunday
22nd July
Trip Leader – Ross Hall
Well what can l say, there were far too many
places to name (or to remember for that matter).
Let’s just say that Ross gets to travel some
wonderful countryside for his work.
It was a sightseer’s delight with the very many
different perspectives of the Glasshouse Mountains, to acres and acres of
pineapple and strawberry farms to the different surroundings – from fields, to
bush land to rainforest.
A big thank you to Adam Pike at Glasshouse
Mountains for supplying the yummy pineapples we were able to take home and to
Shane Frizzo from Beewah for the strawberries that were delicious.
We are all now very familiar with the process
for planting, growing and harvesting pineapples and strawberries – Ross was a
wealth of knowledge on these subjects and it did make it more interesting to
understand how it comes from the land to your supermarket.
It was a wonderful easy driving day, good
company, lovely weather and full of treats to take home for after dinner sweets.
Thanks to Ross for a great day.
