Happy New Year to all our 4WD friends! Members enjoyed relaxing over the holidays, some went to Moore Park, and some to Fraser Island. Now it's time to think about trips for 2009 ... check the 2009 Calendar.

The weather was kind, and the Mitsubshi 4WD 2008 Christmas party was a lot of fun, as usual.

Beerwah Sate Forest provided some real challenges ... have a look. And the Boolbunda Tunnel has lots of interesting aspects to discover.

Elsie Denham, a resident of North Ipswich, volunteered to become an entrant in the Royal Flying Doctor Service 2008 Spirit of Queensland Awards to help raise vital funds and awareness for an organisation that has served our nation for 80 years and still provides their services free to everyone who needs transportation and medical assistance.  Elsie is looking for people with a wander lust spirit to make tracks into the real centre of Australia.  Part of her fundraising plan is to invite 10 4WD's to come on an organised 21 day, fun filled tag-along Expedition in September 2009, to share the experience and take part in the re-enactment of a flag raising ceremony that took place twenty-one years ago when the Royal Geographical Society of Australia and the South Australian Army Survey Corp found the real centre of our nation.  Read more details here.

August 24 '08 Recent trips include Benarkin State Forest (with photos), and Nerang State Forest.

June 20  '08 The first few months of the year have seen some great trips organised, and reports are now on the web for the Barefoot Bowls, Easter at Carnarvon Gorge, Mt Mee Forest trip, and the Sand Driving Training weekend (with pics), plus a report to add to the great pics of the New Members weekend.
There is also technical advice from Michael for those who (hope they never have to but) may need to change the wheel bearings on their camper trailer.
March 18   '08 Landcruiser Park provided some challenges on the New Members Weekend. Pretend to go fishing, or play botchie at Iluka, and relax and get some R&R at Bartopia.
March 3   '08 Mud was flying and so were the cameras at Berrburrum last weekend.
Feb 15   '08 The scribes have now written the reports from paradise at Moreton and the non-stormy Moore Park, plus the bargain hunting success stories at the DFO.
Feb 7   '08 Change is GOOD, is it not?! The web site has had a long overdue maintenance and reconstruction, as it has been getting very large, slow, and unwieldy. The site has now been reduced from 265Mb to 75Mb in size, but, DON'T WORRY, the 2007 News and  2007 Trip Reports remain, and those wonderful Trip Reports and photos from last century have been preserved and the original un cut version of the web site is now available on DVD from the Mitsubishi Club Library (or it will be very soon).  The slash and burn has no doubt resulted in some left over links that don't work, so the webmaster would appreciate your help in verifying the site. The revamped Site Map should make it easier for you to see what is on the site now. Please email any problems to the webmaster including the page NAME and the offending errors. Many thanks!
Jan 25   '08 The weather was kinder to the overseas travellers to Moreton Island..
Jan 22   '08  The troops at Moore Park managed to find ways of amusing themselves through some "interesting" weather.
